    Nick Russell

    I am the Chief Executive of the firm and also Head of the Taxation Department. I have been a tax specialist since 1979 and am routinely involved in reviewing clients tax affairs, indentifying and assessing the opportunities to reduce the tax burden.

    I previously worked in both Mid Tier and Big 4 Accountancy Firms prior to joining Pattinsons in 1994.

    Dawn Brownsword

    I hold the client relationship with a number of our clients and regularly meet with them to discuss their ongoing business, opportunities that exist and present options so that clients have choice and the potential for an improved financial outcome.

    In addition, I oversee the accounts production to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and ensure that all possible claims and elections have been made to minimise taxation. I also identify planning opportunities to give clients choice.

    I work as part of the accounts team dealing with clients on a daily basis using a variety of bookkeeping and accounting software packages and hold certificates of competency in a number of these. I assist clients with bookkeeping, vat, tax and management accounts as well as preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.

    I use several accounting software packages as a member of the accounts team to assist in completion of year end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping for a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

    Lewis Sketchley

    I have recently become AAT qualified, through receiving both in house and external training. I work as part of the accounts team, using Digita Accounts Production to complete year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships, whilst assisting in certain aspects of Limited Company accounts. I also prepare VAT returns and complete bookkeeping for clients.

    I am a member of the accounts team and specialise in assisting sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies with their bookkeeping, both in-house and at the clients’ premises. I am also involved in preparing year end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns.

    I advise on personal, business and corporate taxation matters as well as employment remuneration and benefit strategies. Having significant experience working in industry, I am ideally placed to attend to the needs and concerns of business owners and employers.

    I am a member of the taxation department and advise on personal, business and corporate tax matters, the construction industry scheme as well as overseeing payroll affairs. I generally attend to compliance matters which involves significant contact with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties.

    Kelly Huckle

    I take care of our payroll clients’ needs, by compiling and processing employee payroll data, producing reports, employee payslips and corresponding with the relevant government agencies. I also assist with our internal accounts and office procedures.

    Margaret Smedley

    I attend to company secretarial affairs, which involves the preparation of documentation to ensure that all actions are recorded correctly and are in compliance with the Companies Act.

    I am a member of the administration team, who take care of our office procedures whilst dealing with clients on a daily basis.

    As part of the administration team, I am responsible for the general day to day running of the office which encompasses the management of the facilities and systems we operate.

    In addition, I am personal assistant to the Director and co-ordinate the internal reporting for the firm as well as supporting Leigh, our Financial and Marketing Manager in the enhancement of our business and services.
